Rules are an excellent and simple way to contain ourselves if we feel that we are going off track. You can set yourself a rule for a period of time with the purpose of learning through keeping to it.
For example, you might set a rule to get out of bed before 9am. Or, to keep your surfing to one designated hour, say between, 5-6pm. There are any number of rules that you might design for yourself.
In this way, we can set ourselves challenges, with the intent of growing in strength within ourselves.

As a result of our coaching together I decided to set a few rules for myself. It seems such a simple concept but I am amazed by the results! I have set several rules for myself now – just small simple rules like getting out of bed by a certain time – except on Sundays where I allow myself a lie in to read. Going to the gym at least three times a week, going for a walk every Sunday afternoon.
It’s kind of like taking charge of yourself – it feels good!
